California Assistance for Small Businesses

Small business

Public Safety Power Shutoffs (PSPS) can be disruptive to local daily life: business operations that depend on power can be delayed, employees might be unable to get to work, revenues could be impacted, and hourly or contract workers may lose wages. Although the PSPS event was not declared a disaster, California has a number of options for small businesses looking for ongoing assistance to access capital, expand revenues or improve operations. These programs are available at all times to help California entrepreneurs and small business owners successfully launch and grow their businesses. At the Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), the Office of Small Business Advocate (OSBA) provides information and resources to small businesses to help them succeed in the California marketplace. OSBA can help connect you to resources for small business technical assistance, such as financing and state procurement.
